Lesbian Pride Rainbow Print 8"x10"
In Poland, as in many parts of the world, LGBTQIA+ folks are still fighting against exclusion, violence, and oppression. As a queer person of Polish descent, I wanted to make some pride papercuttings to celebrate LGBTQIA+ in Poland and beyond! This is an 8”x10” giclee print of my lesbian pride papercutting. It features two ladies in traditional Lowicz-style costumes, but with the lesbian flag colors incorporated in their skirts. Between them is a rainbow, the symbol of LGBTQIA+ pride! The flowers in this piece are also symbolic: a violet, which is often used to represent sapphic love, and lavender, to invoke the fight for lesbian inclusion in the women’s liberation movement. These 8”x10” prints are on acid-free cotton-based paper and are signed by the artist.
